Combo/Mini Classes

Tiny Tots +1

Ages 2-3 Ballet (45 Minutes)
Let your little one explore the world through dance and movement with their favorite plus one! * Adult participation required and 1 per dancer
Class attire: ballet shoes, tights, leotard (skirted or non skirted), and hair pulled up in ponytail or bun

Tiny Tots Hip Hop

Ages 3-4 Hip Hop (45 Minutes)
If you’re little one just can’t stop dancing, this is the class for him/her!
Class attire: clothes your dancer can move in, white bottom tennis shoes, or bare feet

Combo 3-4

Ages 3-4 year olds (45 minutes)
Ballet, tap, and tumbling to help with core strength, coordination, and gross motor skills
Class attire: ballet shoes, tap shoes, tights, leotard (skirted or non skirted), and hair pulled up in ponytail or bun

Combo 4-5

Ages 4-5 year olds (45 minutes)
Ballet, tap, and tumbling to help with core strength, coordination, and gross motor skills
Class attire: ballet shoes, tap shoes, tights, leotard (skirted or non skirted), and hair pulled up in ponytail or bun

Combo 5-6

Ages 5-6 year olds (45 minutes)
Ballet, tap, and tumbling to help with core strength, coordination, and gross motor skills
Class attire: leather ballet shoes, tap shoes, tights, leotard (skirted or non skirted), and hair pulled up  in ponytail or bun

Mini Hip Hop & Tumbling

Ages 5-7 year olds (60 minutes)
Learn coordination, rhythm , and strength while dancing to all the latest songs on the radio.
Class attire: clothes your dancer can move in, white bottom tennis shoes, or bare feet

Mini Tumbling
Ages 6-8 year olds (45 minutes)
Tumbling on floor mats.  Learn core strength, arm and leg strength while also learning basic tumbling tricks.
Class attire: A leotard and booty shorts, or a tight fitting tank top and booty shorts.  NO shoes, and hair pulled up in a pony tail or bun.

Combo 6-7

Ages 6-7 year olds (45 minutes)
Ballet and tap
Class attire: ballet shoes, tap shoes, tights, leotard (skirted or non skirted), and hair pulled up in ponytail or bun

Petite Jazz
Ages 6-8 year olds (45 minutes)
Class attire: jazz shoes, leotard, or a tight fitted tank, or crop top with dance shorts.  Hair is to be pulled up in a ponytail or bun.

Petite Ballet – Ages 6-8
This class will work on forming the correct placement of ballet positions as well as basic ballet terminology. This is for the more serious young dancer who prefers more ballet than a Combo class can offer. A leotard with pink ballet shoes and pink tights are required for this class. Hair should be pulled back.

Ballet

Ballet is the most highly refined and challenging of all dance forms. It stresses correct alignment, technique development, flexibility, strength and style. Our curriculum, as taught by an experienced faculty, starts developmentally appropriate and introduces students to the structure of class as well as stretching, coordination exercises, musical forms, improvisation and ballet vocabulary. Students follow a structured sequence of training stages designed to increase their technical skills, stamina, and discipline in accordance with their age and physical development. Classes will have spelling and definition tests of ballet terminology.

Levels 1- 60 Minute Classes
Proper ballet terminology is reinforced as the students concentrate on building strength and learning correct body placement. Black Leotards are preferred, but solid colored leotards are allowed. Leotards should not have any prints or designs.

Levels 2-4 – 90 Minute Classes
Class work continues to focus on building each student’s self-confidence while they learn body strength, coordination and the discipline necessary for learning classical ballet. Black Leotards are preferred, but solid colored leotards are allowed. Leotards should not have any prints or designs.

Teen (non company) Ballet – 60 Minute Classes
Teen Ballet is for the student who wishes to learn ballet technique without the discipline of enforcing the strict dress code or classical ballet music. Ballet fundamentals are taught in a more carefree environment. Tight fitting tops and yoga pants are allowed.

Girls: NO LOOSE HAIR OR JEWELRY. Pink tights and pink ballet slippers are mandatory. Hair must be off the face and in a bun WITH bobby-pins, those with short hair must wear a headband and/or pin hair back off face.

Boys: White t-shirt and ankle-length socks with black tights are required with white or black ballet shoes. Dance belts are also required and shirts must be tucked in.BE NEAT AND NO JEWELRY.

Pointe
Regular attendance in ballet technique class is required for this class, and will only be offered to those who have the proper strength and dedication needed to perform this difficult dance style. Students must obtain teacher’s permission to enter a Pointe class.

Jazz

All classes will consist of a warm-up, with stretching and strengthening the muscles. There will be exercises across the floor to work on technique and a combo at the end of class to help develop a creative style.

Levels 1-– 60 Minute Classes
This is an introduction to basic jazz positions, turns, and leaps. Students will also learn center progressions as well as proper stretching techniques to enhance strength and flexibility.

Level 2 – 60 Minute Classes
This is an intermediate class designed to augment basic jazz training. It will continue basic skills learned in Jazz 1, including positions, turns, and leaps as well as elements of dance conditioning. Ballet is strongly recommended to compliment the jazz training.

Levels 3&4 – 90 Minute Classes
Each level is constructed to provide more advanced training as the student develops more technique. The progressions, leaps, and turns will become more advanced, along with the conditioning and combos.

Teen (non Company) Jazz – 60 Minute Classes
Teen Jazz is for the student who wishes to dance for the joy and fun of dance. Class will consist of basic jazz exercises (warm-up, across the floors, and a combination). This class has a more laid back approach than other the other Jazz classes.

**Levels 3 and up must take at least 1 ballet class a week and attend both classes in their level for all sessions except summer.

**Tan jazz shoes are a must for ALL jazz classes. Tights are preferred as they keep muscles warm. No socks or dance paws are allowed in jazz class. Must wear fitted shorts/leggings and top or Leo. No loose clothing.

Tap

All classes will consist of a warm-up, progressions across the floor, and a combo.

Levels 1- – 45 Minute Classes
This is for the beginning tapper. Basic tap skills are taught.

Level 2-4 – 45 Minute Classes
This is more advanced, and focuses on linking together the basic moves taught in previous levels to create more complicated rhythms.

Teen Tap – 45 Minute Classes
Teen Taps is for the student who wishes to dance for the joy and fun of dance.  Class will consist of basic Tap exercises. The focus is basic Tap skills and linking them together. This class has a more laid back approach than the other Tap classes.

Each level is focused on teaching more advanced skills and more precise sounds and rhythms.
Tan taps with no heel are recommended as they will be needed for the recital. No jeans or any kind are allowed in class.

Hip Hop -45 Minute Classes
High energy class. There will be a quick warm-up followed by a few progressions in the style. This is a funky, trendy style that will continue to change with the times. The focus of the class is the combo which will reflect the style being taught. There will be multiple levels that will become more advanced the higher the level.
Tennis shoes and clothing you can move in is recommended. Please wear shorts under skirts.

Acro- 45 minutes

A fusion dance technique and tumbling. Classes focus on developing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, concentration, muscle control, and discipline. Dancers study acrobatic techniques and explore how these techniques can be applied to other forms of dance.

Contemporary - 30 Minutes- 60 Minutes
Characterized by its fluidity, lyrical combines elements of Ballet, Jazz and Modern dance. Lyrical gives students an opportunity to interpret a wide range of expressions and emotions through movement. Level 2 ballet or higher is required. Leotard, tights, jazz pants, dance paws or jazz shoes.

Yoga and Dance-60 Minutes
Adults, come take Yoga while your kiddos take dance in another room!  Ages 2-4 will do a combo class while their caregiver gets a little mind/body escape in the next room!
